Power Group Ltd. is headed by founder Ron Larcombe and is guided by the Power Group Executive Committee which oversees all strategic planning and high level decision making. The committee consists of the President/CEO Ron Larcombe, VP of Operations Mark Eberhardt, VP Sales, Consumer Group, Earl Johnson and Controller Ricky Doncillo.
The committee shares oversight on the strategic initiatives focused at the growth of the company and adds dimension, insight and diversity when considering decisions that impact the Company and its goals. The EC meets regularly to discuss the implementation of standards and practices and to discuss high level issues that impact the business in the short, medium and long term.
Ron Larcombe, President/CEO
As CEO Ron has the overall responsibility of crafting the direction of the company, managing the key account relationships, staffing at the Executive level, maintaining the positive corporate culture and ultimately watching the bottom line. In addition to starting Power some 20 years ago, Ron has served 2 terms as Chairman of MIAC, the Canadian Music Industry Trade Association and participated in the National Association of Music Merchants “Global Economic Summit V” on behalf of MIAC. In addition to years of industry experience, Ron has studied Economics and Business Administration at York University and is an accomplished drummer.
Mark Eberhardt, VP of Operations
Mark has worked for Power and with Ron Larcombe in various positions for over 19 years and in that time has helped craft and create the business as it exists today. Mark has held virtually every position in the company from traveling Canada as a field agent, designing and building trade show booths to his current position that requires a high level of expertise coordinating a worldwide supply chain and logistics infrastructure. Mark holds Bachelor of Music, Honours, Percussion Performance from Wilfrid Laurier University and studied General Arts and Planning at the University Of Waterloo.
Ricky Doncillo, Controller
Ricky has over 20 years of professional experience in International Finance. He has worked in 5 countries worldwide, holds a CMA degree in Canada and is a Certified Public Accountant in the Philippines. At one point in his career he was Cost Controller, for the CBF Joint Venture (Hong Kong) Airport Core Construction Project (Part of the world’s largest construction project at the time). At Power, Ricky is responsible for all levels of Finance related duties and is directly involved in negotiating the financing/capitalization terms for the company.
Earl Johnson, VP Sales, Consumer Group
Earl comes to Power with over 30 years of retail and wholesale experience in the electronics, musical instruments, professional and consumer audio market segments. As General Manager of world renowned Cerwin-Vega, Canada, Earl grew the market share by an astonishing 38%. His responsibilities included forecasting, managing the P&L, managing the overall budget and was responsible for all staffing related matters. His experience working with large consumer oriented chain stores is key to accomplishing Power Group Ltd. objectives.
